Roman Roads: Past, Present and Future Research

Conference – 12 / 13 November 2016

The Roman Roads Research Association is proud to host the second of two conferences to mark the 40th anniversary of the death of Ivan D. Margary, whose name, through his work “Roman Roads in Britain”, has become synonymous with the study of Roman roads.

The conference is being held at the Burn Hall Hotel, York on the 12th & 13th November 2016.

It promises to be an engaging and rewarding event for all attendees, and has a number of nationally recognized expert and entertaining speakers contributing to two days of lectures and discussion groups.

Margary’s contribution to British archaeology has been profound, and, the Association feel, not given the national recognition which it deserves..

After the success of their first conference at Portsmouth in early September, York promises to be even better.
