Happy New Year!
The Society has a number of interesting events lined up in 2017.
We are particularly excited about a Day School we are holding, in partnership with Teesside University Centre for Regional and Local Historical Research on 11 March 2017.
The theme of the Day School is ‘North East England in the Seventeenth Century’ and amongst the speakers are a number who are Society Members.
The topics on offer are intriguing and may change your perception of what life was like in Teesside in the past: John Little will be talking about ‘People and Prosperity in Stockton on Tees in the Seventeenth Century’, Phil Philo will be talking about the impact of the English Civil War in the North East, whilst Martin Roberts will be highlighting aspects of seventeenth century architecture in Teesside.
