2020 AGM to be Held

To all Members of the Cleveland & Teesside Local History Society

These are unprecedented times.

People are unable to meet.

We are unable to host meetings or walks.

We are unable to visit places.

We have been unable to publish our usual publications.

And we have been unable to hold our Annual General Meeting.

We have endeavoured to provide a service by posting material and delivering talks on-line.

And we have an obligation to hold an Annual General Meeting.

Therefore, we have decided to hold an Annual General Meeting via Zoom.

The Virtual AGM will take place on Tuesday 17 November 2020 commencing at 8.00pm

Members of the Society are invited to join us for this event.

The agenda and papers for the meeting can be found on the Cleveland & Teesside Local History Society web site: http://ctlhs.co.uk/ in the Members Area.

Members will need a password to access the Members Area: this will be made available by The Scroll or from the Secretary.

To join us at the Virtual AGM, you will need to have access to Zoom.

If you are a Member of the Cleveland & Teesside Local History Society and wish to receive an invitation to attend the meeting, please email the Secretary.

If you are unable to attend the AGM, you can still make your views known on any of the matters on the agenda, by emailing the Secretary before (AGM date less 7 days).

The time available to us for the AGM will be limited so we will be running a ‘tight ship’. Contributions will need to be short and succinct.

Voting will be achieved by all members present raising a hand to indicate that they are in favour of the proposal being made.

These are unprecedented times, so we are attempting something unprecedented. We may succeed. There may be difficulties, and we do not pretend that everything will be ideal. But we hope you appreciate that your Committee is attempting to keep the Society alive and to find new ways of addressing matters in these challenging times.

We look forward to your support.
