A GOLDEN JUBILEE “EXTRA”
SATURDAY 6th OCTOBER 2018 at 10.45 a.m.
In a typical year, our Society normally holds just four Saturday meetings. However, this is our Golden Jubilee year, so we can offer an extra treat!
This will be an extra meeting at Middlesbrough College.
The idea arose from a conversation with Barry Harrison, who said that he has done a great deal of research into Ingleby Manor, a largely Tudor building at Ingleby Greenhow. Barry said that he would quite like to give a talk about the manor to the Society. Barry of course is a former Chairman of our Society (from 2007 to 2015), and this led to the idea of inviting another former Chairman to give a talk at the same meeting. Carol Cook, who was Chairman from 1996 to 2007, kindly offered to give a talk on a mansion and estate which is of particular interest to her – Arncliffe Hall near Ingleby Arncliffe. Both of these are new talks by old friends, so please come along and enjoy the morning.
